Alberto Altés is a young architect. He graduated from the ‘Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallès’ (ETSAV, UPC) and has previously studied at the ‘Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valladolid’ (UVA) and at the ‘Technische Universiteit Delft, Faculteit Bouwkunde’ (TUDelft) in the Netherlands.
He has participated in several design workshops in Italy, The Netherlands and Spain both as a student and as a teacher, and has won a few competitions as a student. His teaching experience started as Assistant Teacher for an Introductory Course for Architecture Students that is offered at the ETSAV, and he is now an associated professor at the Architectural Graphic Expression Department of the ETSAV where he is currently working on a doctoral dissertation that will discuss the loss of critical, social and political content in architecture by means of a critical exploration of other visual arts, more specifically, cinema.
